From posting covers on YouTube, to recording her first album, Nineteen year old singer and songwriter Davina Leone is on her way to top the charts with her soulful voice and her inspiring fun tunes. Raised in Miami Florida to a family of musicians and singers, Davina found her passion for music at a young age, playing the piano and exploring new instruments in school. Already a multi talented performer, Davina got in touch with her unique beautiful voice at the age of ten while acting and dancing in Broadway shows for local theaters. She started training her singing in her room alone and teaching herself guitar. At age fourteen, Davina began to peek out of her shell and posted YouTube videos of her singing some of her favorite songs. She received countless messages from fans being uplifted by her voice and impressed by her unique renditions of the songs.
Millions of views and thousands of subscribers later, she was discovered by songwriter Richie Supa, best known for his work with Aerosmith, Pink, Richie Sambora, and producer George Noriega, Grammy winner with Jennifer Lopez and Shakira. Together they created her debut album entitled "Awake" which will be released soon. The album is filled with powerful tales we can all relate to such as surviving heartbreak, standing up for one's beliefs, and heartfelt tunes fit for people of all ages to enjoy.
Davina just released her first national single "Up All Night" produced by her twenty one year old musical director and brother Jon Leone.
"Up All Night" was just featured in the Hallmark Channel movie "The Sweeter Side of Life".
Davina found her love for performing on stage, and plans to continue to sing her heart out. "I'm definitely the happiest when I'm on stage. Nothing beats the feeling of sharing my music and my stories with everyone, inspiring listeners to stand up and believe in themselves, and also to enjoy life and have fun. Nothing can be greater than spreading happiness through my singing".
Davina and her band just opened for One Republic during Sundance week in Park City, Utah. More shows are being added during SXSW in Austin, TX this March.
